How to turn on support for assistive devices

Some features of Remote Buddy Express require you to provide it with rights to control other applications through the OS X Accessibility APIs.

Here's how:

On OS X 10.9 Mavericks (and later)

1. Open /Applications/System Preferences.app
2. Click on the "Security & Privacy" icon
3. Select the "Privacy" tab
4. Select "Accessibility" from the list on the left.
5. Check the checkbox in front of "Remote Buddy Express" in the list on the right. If the list is grayed out and can't be changed, click on the lock symbol in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate as a system administrator to change these settings.
6. Quit Remote Buddy and launch it again.

On OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion (and earlier)

1. Open /Applications/System Preferences.app
2. Click on the "Universal Access" icon (filled, blue circle with stylized human in the middle)
3. Make sure the checkbox "Enable access for assistive devices" is checked. You find it at the bottom of the Univeral Access pane.
