A lot of time, thought and research has gone and will continue to go into the design of Remote Buddy Express's onscreen menu. There are a few key concepts that are important to understand Remote Buddy's menu:

Hierarchical, left-to-right organization
The menu is organized hierarchically, from left to right. That is, if you select an item to descend to a submenu, you'll see the menu scroll to the submenu on the right. Likewise, when going up a level, the menu scrolls to reveal the parent menu on the left. Consequently, you press the right (>>) button on your remote control to descend into a submenu and the left (<<) button to return to the parent menu.

Remote Buddy Express displays an arrow to the left and right of an item to indicate whether a submenu or parent menu is available. These arrows can also be displayed for embedded user interface elements to indicate you can press the left and right buttons of your remote control to change the setting controlled by the embedded element.
Behaviours have context menus
Behaviours do have context menus to provide
- you with quick access to an overview over the current assignment of actions to the buttons of your remote.
- application-specific functionality (f.ex. a Music Library browser)
- space to offload rarely used actions
- access to recently used documents
- possibilities to hide, bring to front, quit or force quit an application
By default, if you press the Menu button on your remote control, Remote Buddy Express will open the Remote Buddy menu inside the context menu of the currently active Behaviour to give you quick access to application specific functionality. These context menus, however, are not seperate, but part of the normal menu structure. Press the left (<<) button to descend to the parent menu.

The table below lists all available button shortcuts inside the Remote Buddy Express menu.

Right	choose the current entry
Play	choose the current entry
Plus	scroll up through the entries. If on the first entry, jump straight to the last entry.
Minus	scroll down through the entries. If on the last entry, jump straight to the first entry.
Menu	fade the onscreen menu in/out
Menu hold	jump to the first entry of the current menu

By default, upon opening the menu, Remote Buddy Express enters the menu structure at the level of the context menu of the currently active Behaviours. If you would rather like to enter it at the main menu level, you can choose a different action in the global button mapping table. A setup, where one button press opens the menu at the context menu level and another button press opens the menu at the main menu level is also possible. The global button mapping table is part of the Mapping pane.
